Christmas Lights at Night Tour
Welcome to my Christmas Lights at Night Tour! The tour is pretty straightforward. You’ll be seeing photos of my Christmas decorations at night.
I’ve also teamed up with 15 bloggers who are also sharing their homes decorated for Christmas at night, so if you’re stopping by from Finding Silver Pennies, welcome!
The Front Porch
My front porch decorations stay pretty consistent from year-to-year. I have a slight obsession with the 25-foot fresh cedar garland at Costco. The cedar garland hangs on nails above our front door and add a strand of lights. I’m also obsessed with their holiday greens planters, which are flanking our front porch steps. And this year I revamped a Costco planter in the pot between our two garage doors.

Sentimental Vintage Entryway
In our entryway, the ceramic Christmas tree my late aunt made in 1980 always sits on top of the antique dresser my mom and her twin used as little girls. The mirror lives on top of the dresser year-round, but I added the preserved boxwood wreath with red velvet ribbon for the holidays.
We have Philips Hue lightbulbs in almost all the lamps in our house. I love them because they can be dimmed from my phone. And with some of the bulbs, we can change the color of the light.

Red and White Living Room
This year I told myself I wasn’t going to buy new Christmas decor, and I stuck to it– for the most part. So our mantel and Christmas tree are very similar to last year’s. I made the Stewart tartan canvas and hung the wreath on it a couple years ago. I published a tutorial this year showing how I made the fabric-covered canvas.
The garland is a faux long pine needle garland with four different kinds of picks added in. I also added a basic strand of 100 Christmas lights to the garland this year. Our red velvet stockings (medium) are hung on the mantel with Command Brand hooks. I swear by them when it comes to Christmas decor. And I know some people will disagree with me, but because they’re clear, I just leave them on the mantel year-round.

The flocked tree is covered in red and silver mercury glass ornaments I’ve collected over the past three years. I love how they illuminate and sparkle in the Christmas tree lights. Red berry picks and flocked branches picks also adorn the tree. The plaid gift wrapped presents and ribbons tie into the plaid canvas above the fireplace.

White Christmas Bedroom Sitting Area
This is the first year I’ve decorated the sitting area in our main bedroom. But this is also the first year this space is a sitting area (and my husband’s pandemic-induced home office) and not a mini storage area for a bunch of random things.
The main motivation for decorating this cozy space was our new electric fireplace. Because you can’t add a fireplace to your bedroom and not decorate it for Christmas. The mirror is from an antique dresser I bought this past spring. I removed the hinges from the mirror and put it on top of the fireplace mantel.
So I added this budget-friendly pencil tree and decorated with things I used on my glam Christmas tree from a couple years ago. It’s such a pretty sight at nighttime. I love how the lights glow through the feathers.

Pink Christmas
There’s quite the pink glow that emits from this corner of our dining area. My pink Christmas tree, which is decorated with donuts, ice cream, macarons, and more, has been a staple here for years. The vintage white ceramic Christmas tree with pink bow lights is new this year. I’m in love with those pink bow lights.

Playroom Tree
The white Christmas tree in our playroom illuminates all the colorful felt ornaments and custom name tree topper that decorate it.
I will admit that this white playroom tree and the pink sweet treats tree look better in daylight versus at night. Whereas our main Christmas tree looks better at night than during the day.
Well, that does it for my Christmas night tour. I hope you enjoyed taking a peek at my Christmas decorations at night. If you’re following the blogger tour, Happy Happy Nester is next.
