Since having a baby I’ve paid extra attention to cleanliness in our house. Not to the point where I’m disinfecting every single thing, because babies need to be exposed to some naturally occurring germs in your home. But I make a point to disinfect places “outsiders” use, like door knobs and our guest bathroom. Nothing scares me more than Owen running a 100.4 fever or higher, or the thought of a hospital admittance and spinal tap.
I’ve always been an up&up fan in general– from cleaning products to paper towels. Why pay extra for name brand when you get the same quality for a better price? Plus, who doesn’t love a trip to Target? I don’t know about you, but I always leave with more stuff than I went in intending to purchase.
My products of choice for disinfecting surfaces are these Target up & up disinfecting wipes and all-purpose cleaner.
I like how I can keep a canister of the disinfecting wipes in our guest bathroom vanity because it doesn’t take up much space and all I need is a wipe– there’s no need to also grab paper towels to do a quick wipe down of the bathroom. I timed it the other day and I was able to disinfect the guest bathroom doorknobs, vanity counter, sink, faucet, and the exterior of the toilet in less than 5 minutes.
The disinfecting wipes kill 99.9% of germs in 15 seconds, and they’re safe to use on non-porous surfaces like sinks, phones, countertops, exterior of toilets, and doorknobs.
The all-purpose cleaner disinfects and deodorizes. It’s ideal for kitchens, baths, utility rooms, garbage cans, and diaper pails. I typically use my up & up select-a-size paper towels with the all-purpose cleaner.
Another up & up product I love is their lemon furniture polish. I like dusting with furniture polish and an old t-shirt or towel because it traps the dust and polishes the furniture at the same time. I feel like when I use only a duster I’m just moving the dust around and not eliminating it. The up & up furniture polish works well on finished, sealed woods, stainless steel, leather, marble, and granite. It also helps protect furniture from water spills and stains.
Do you have a favorite Target up&up product? If so, let me know for a chance to win a $100 Target GiftCard®! I’d love to try it out!
