Christmas Themed Toys for Young Children

I’ve come across some of the cutest Christmas themed toys for the toddler to kindergarten crowd over the past week. It’s to the point where I can’t contain my excitement anymore– I have to share these finds with you guys.

These toys aren’t just cute, most are also educational and/or great for developmental skills, like fine motor. Making it totally logical to buy them for your kid, who I’m sure needs more toys.

The other day I shared the magnetic advent calendar (#1) on my Facebook page when it was on sale. As I write this, it’s currently 20% off. It arrived the other day (thank you, Amazon Prime), and it’s adorable.

Yesterday I popped into HomeGoods and spotted the stacking snowman and Christmas cookie set. I already knew about the cookie set, and actually shared it on my Facebook page over the weekend, but after seeing it in person I couldn’t pass it up. It’s so cute, and it’s great for fine motor and language development.

Annnd I’m not going to lie, I also picked up the chunky Christmas puzzle for Owen a couple weeks ago. But again, the cuteness factor got me, and the kid loves puzzles. It also helps that puzzles are fairly easy to store.

Friday night we stopped in Target because I had a $10 off coupon to use before it expired, and while we were there Owen became enamored with this animated, musical snow globe. This time it was Brad’s turn to give in to the cuteness because we came home with the snow globe. Owen didn’t even ask us to get it for him like the toy Christmas train fiasco I experienced with him earlier in the week (you may have caught that on Snapchat or Insta Stories).

Okay, that’s it for the things that I’ve bought my child.

But to round things out, I included a gingerbread boy (there’s also a girl), nativity (here’s another nativity), chunky reindeer puzzle, magnetic dress-up SantaThomas Christmas train set, Thomas Christmas train, Disney Princess Christmas stickers, puffy Christmas stickers, Christmas Mickey, Sesame Street Christmas coloring books, and Christmas finger puppets.

Happy Christmas themed toy shopping!

  1. Gosh, I’m a sucker for a nativity set! The links are going to the gingerbread man, though — could you update it? Thanks!

      1. Thanks Chelsea! It is so precious. Growing up my parents let us play with the real nativity set but I would have loved having my very own.

Last year I dropped ceramic baby Jesus while putting away the Christmas decorations and he shattered…maybe I need this Fisher Price version for myself 😉

  2. I love all of these! I was already planning on buying the Melissa and Doug Christmas cookie play set for my daughters because they are getting a play kitchen. Now I’m thinking my youngest needs that chunky puzzle too. They already have advent calendars but the magnetic one is so cute, I’m tempted to get it anyway. Thanks, Chelsea. 🙂

  3. That cookie dough set is too cute! Toys have changed so much since I was little…
