Fall Entryway

When I was designing the house, I knew I wouldn’t have much space for an entryway table because the French doors on my office take up so much space. But I knew I’d figure out a game plan because I loved decorating our entryway table in the last house. And I’m happy to share my fall entryway decor– the first season I’ve decorated for.

I partnered with Pier 1 Imports for this project because it’s a great one-stop shop for all things harvest and Thanksgiving. I decided to go with traditional fall harvest colors: yellow, orange, and hints of green. For a little height, I opted for a large, yellow terra cotta vase filled with tons of faux fall foliage. I used mini maple, aspen, and gingko leaf bundles. The candle smells amazing just sitting open like that without even having to light it, which is nice with a three year old.

This beaded pumpkin vase filler has the prettiest shades of orange and red. They’re displayed in a rustic acacia wood serving bowl.

I love the faux fall leaves because they’ll last for years. And I can always swap out the vase in the future to mix things up a bit.

I didn’t have any fall-looking books, so I purchased a yellow napkin and a plaid napkin and used this technique to cover two thrift store books I had in my stash. I topped the books with a white ceramic squirrel, which could be used year-round, and a faux cabbage. I wish I would’ve gotten the cabbage in all three colors. Pier 1 has some of the most unique products– I can always find inspiration there.

The embroidery on the pumpkin pillow is so pretty, it looks like art. I set it inside a wicker basket, which is the perfect size for the small entryway table.

While the entryway table is small, I think it packs a nice fall harvest punch.

  2. I love the beaded pumpkins – so cute! Very creative with the napkin technique; I’ll have to remember that one. What fragrance is the candle?
