Christmas Nights Tour 2017

It’s been fun to decorate the new house for Christmas, although I didn’t go all out because of the current shower escapade. One of the things I’m especially loving is the living room and fireplace. It looks magical at night with the fire going and all the glowing lights.

This year, I’m teaming up with 25+ talented bloggers for the Christmas Night Tour, orchestrated by Maison de Pax. If you are visiting from Bless’er House, welcome! If you haven’t seen Lauren’s beautiful tour yet, be sure to go back and check it out.

When we decided to center the fireplace on the wall, instead of having the original corner fireplace, I knew this nook would be perfect for a Christmas tree. It’s out of the way so no one has to walk around it. And it looks great next to the fireplace.

I love how the tree reflects in the window. Don’t worry, we’re getting window treatments once they fix the drywall and windowsills, which will produce a lot of dust.

When I first shared the Christmas tree, I explained that I got the tree with Dura-Lit clear lights because I don’t like LEDs because of the hues they cast. You can see the difference here between the LED fairy lights I added to the mantel garland and the Dura-Lit Christmas tree lights.

I added some fairy lights to the sparkly cone trees on the dining room table.

While I think the pink tree looks better in the daytime because you can see the fun dessert ornaments much better, it’s still pretty.

Since our Christmas decorations are kind of sparse this year, I thought I’d share a few scenes from years past.
