Review of the Maxi-Cosi Bohemian Blue Collection

Thanks, Maxi-Cosi, for sponsoring today’s post! As always, opinions are 100% my own.

A couple months ago I announced that I had been asked by Maxi-Cosi to participate in their Bohemian Blue brand ambassador program. I was graciously gifted with three items (Kaia stroller, Mico AP infant car seatPria 70 convertible car seat) from their Bohemian Blue line to review and share my experiences with all you mamas and mamas-to-be.

Let’s start with the Mico AP infant car seat since it’s what we use most often.

I can’t tell you how many compliments I get on this car seat. Seriously, it happens every time we take Owen out in it. At the doctor’s office, the hospital, restaurants, parking lots. I think the main reason why people like it so much is that it has a unique, eye-catching look to it. I’m always hearing, “Ooh, I love that car seat!” Not kidding.

So if you’re in the Witness Protection Program and prefer to go unnoticed with your infant you should probably look into a different color schemed Maxi-Cosi car seat (they have some awesome colors, btw).

We also like how light the car seat is– weighing in at 8 pounds, making it the lightest premium infant car seat available.

Owen is always practicing his Blue Steel pose. Watch out Gap baby models, he’s coming after your jobs.

Let’s check out the Kaia stroller, shall we?

It’s a compact stroller, but it’s also a travel system meaning it’s compatible with the matching Mico AP car seat. Pretty cool, right?

Since Owen is too small for the stroller right now, he’s skipping out on modeling it for now. Just visualize him sitting in it for the time being.

I love the versatility of the stroller and how it can grow with Owen.

Since he’s going to be in the infant car seat for a while we took the regular seat off. We’re storing it until he’s big enough to sit in the regular seat.

Here’s Owen throwing up deuces in his Mico AP car seat and Kaia stroller.

The stroller comes with two adapters that easily clip on to the stroller (I model this in the video below– oooh ahhh), and then you attach the car seat. Easy peasy.

I also like the cup holder. Hydration is very important in this family.

The basket is also pretty ample, especially for a compact stroller.

So far I don’t have any major complaints about the car seat or the stroller. The only thing I would tweak is the canopy on the car seat. You have to man handle it a little to get it to stay taut. But that’s not a deal breaker for me.

I haven’t received the Pria 70 convertible car seat yet because it’s on back order, which is why it’s not appearing in today’s post.

Now for the amazing video where I model how to put the car seat onto the stroller.

Warning: I flash some cleavage. Sorry about that.

Bonus: Jack makes a cameo appearance.

  1. His cheeks are the BEST. So big!! That stroller looks awesome. I’ve often wished we had a stroller that we could just clip the car seat into like that, but with Darcy at almost 1 year, I think we’ve passed the prime usefulness time for that feature. It always looks so convenient, though!

    1. I’m pretty sure I pinch and kiss his chunky cheeks every 10 minutes. You’ll just have to get the car seat that clips into a stroller for the next baby. 😉

      1. If I were drinking coffee when I read that response, I think I would have spat it all over the computer screen. “Next baby”!! 😉

  2. Seriously love the “deuces” pic. He is just adorable! I bet you can’t stop kissing that sweet face. Thanks for the review. I’ll be shopping for a car seat/stroller soon! Momma-to-be here so I appreciate all of your advice. 🙂

    Thanks Chelsea!

    1. You are 100% correct– I cannot stop kissing him! I’m trying to get all the kisses in now when he can’t run away from me. Hah! Congrats, momma!

  3. wow that DOES look easy thanks for the video. Shopping around for car seats and strollers and travel systems is making me a little nutty. I would love to find one of these in store somewhere so I can test drive it myself.
    Are they only available online?

  4. When I scrolled down and saw those colors – wow! Love them! The only “boy” options I could find a couple years ago were brown or grey… blah. And I totally bulked up carrying my boys in their carseat. My right bicep was impressive. I should have taken up arm wrestling… so 8 lbs sounds pretty awesome.
And I’m loving that stroller! Our youngest is 2.5, so I still pull out the umbrella stroller for trips to the mall. I used it just yesterday and was thinking how much use I got out of such a flimsy thing, so much more than my pricy convertable stroller (that takes up way too much room in the car, and is hard to push through a crowd). This stroller looks like a great happy medium – not too big, but with the perks of a basket and a cup holder!
I’m done having babies, but I’ll have to send this review to pregnant friends who ask me what they should get!

  5. First off I love the colors of this car seat and stroller collection! I think the snap on car seat/stroller combo is a must. I cannot count how many times having that little contraption came in handy when toting our baby girl around. Especially if she was asleep and I was hoping she’d stay that way a little bit longer. Owen is such a cutie!

  6. WOW that breaking system is awesome!!! I get so annoyed with our BJ strollers when I’m wearing flip flops!

  7. I agree with Caroline-when I had my boys everything was dingy blue or brown-those colors are awesome and I love how the system works together-forwarding this to my step-sister who just had her first baby!
