This post brought to you by Honeywell International Inc.. All opinions are 100% mine.

Oh, and I’m giving away thermostat to one lucky reader.  Can I get a “woot!”?

Let’s discuss some of the highlights of this technology.

Voice Control

Pre-programmed voice commands allow you to tell the thermostat to raise or lower temperature.  You can say things like ““make it warmer” or “make it three degrees cooler”– even from across the room.  We tried this out and it really does work!  Pretty cool, eh?

Control from Anywhere

Utilizing Honeywell’s highly-rated and free iOS and Android mobile app you can control the thermostat whether you’re across the room or around the world.

Smart Response

The system learns your heating and cooling cycle times to deliver the right temperature, right when you want it.

 Simple Setup

Only a few common household tools are needed to install the unit and Honeywell provides step-by-step installation instructions.

Customizable Color Touchscreen

Easy-to-read color touchscreen can customized to fit your mood, match your paint, or support your favorite sports team.

OK, clearly I commented before reading the prompt :) I wish it could put away my clean laundry! My least favorite chore.

For me, I would definitely want it to empty the dishwasher. I don’t find filling it, but putting dishes away is so tedious! It’s a random least-favorite chore, but I would really love for my thermostat to do if for me

I would love for it to do the dishes! I love to cook but I hate cleaning up afterwards. Unfortunately I also hate having a mess in my kitchen!!

I wish the thermostat would clean all this dog hair by voice command! We just adopted a looooove bug long-haired dog but boy do I need to adjust to the shedding :)

My electrical engineer/nerd/gadget geek/husband would flip over that thermostat. He’s been begging for one for ages… he even asked for one for his birthday. Did I mention he’s odd?

Also, you couldn’t tell him that he could customize it to “support your favorite sports team.” I’d have a Colts blue thermostat just hanging out in the hallway.

I’ve really been wanting a programmable thermostat! We are finally homeowners and I want to make sure we keep our energy costs down when we are not home. And, also keep our home feeling home-y in this crazy Midwest weather we have. Fingers crossed for a win!

Toilets!!! Nobody likes to do those! Also, we have lived in our current house for two years and my husband is convinced our thermostat does not work right. Maybe I will win this since he will not listen to me when I tell him to buy another one!

  7. Crystal M. says

With all the super cold temps, I would love to be able to just lay in bed and increase the temperature before having to get up.

  8. Kristen Fensom says

I’d love it to have the house at the exact comfortable temperature and dinner ready when we get home from work, please. Thank you.

  9. Jen says

Ironing! I hate it! I tend to only iron when husby has absolutely no clothes to wear to work then spend hours slaving away, all the while cursing myself and my laziness.

  10. Elena Vo says

I love to cook but don’t enjoy cleaning up, so that’s what I’d like to be able to tell the thermostat to do! “Clean the kitchen, please!”

  11. Shirley says

This would be a dream come true to own one of these. I would want it to do all of the above. We have been sick since Christmas and I would wish it could take down the tree and decorations which are still up.

  12. Cheryl Newton says

Oooh. I wish this thermostat could pick up all the things that everyone else drops and/or leaves lying around (that then become visible only to me, the only person in the family who requires vision correction; I know; it’s a complete mystery).

  13. says

Hmmmm…that’s hard…do I choose something practical like help with homework or something fun like every hour chime in and say “Mamma knows best”. Either way I would be more than happy to win one! Thanks for the opportunity!
