My mom and step-grandmother were nice enough to iron every chair cover and sash before the wedding.

I made half of our reception centerpieces. The day before the wedding I bought roses from Sam’s Club and took off the petals so they could be placed inside the hurricanes.
The other half of the centerpieces were arrangements of hydrangeas, spray roses, and hypericum berries, which were made by our florist/day-of wedding coordinator.
The Kate Spade Mr. and Mrs. toasting flutes were a bridal shower gift, as were the cute bride and groom flutes.

I made all the props for the DIY photo booth. We purchased a photo booth software program and ran it on a laptop computer. A flat screen computer monitor, webcam, and photo printer were also used. Two duplicate photo strips printed onto one photo paper, so the guests cut down the middle. They taped one strip into a scrapbook and took the other with them.

I made the flip flop baskets and the signage.

After the wedding, I designed our thank you cards. I had them printed onto Vistaprint postcards. We I wrote the thank you note on the back of the postcards, slipped them into envelopes, and mailed them off.

I hope enjoyed this series about our wedding!
In case you need to catch up, here’s our before the ceremony, ceremony, and reception photos.

Your wedding was absolutely beautiful! I’m getting married in April, and like you, most everything is DIY (are we crazy?!) You were a stunning bride!
I am SO impressed with all of your DIY touches – you did an amazing job!! The whole day looks beautiful – so glad you shared all of this!!
I seriously encourage every bride to be to do Vistaprint postcards as thank yous! It’s SO much cheaper and it’s MUCH faster in my opinion!
Not as much space to write! Mine came out awesome too! Woo!
You and your wedding were so beautiful (you still are). I am not getting married anytime soon but this is such good inspiration.
Love all of your wedding DIY and you IU touches! Im an Indiana girl!
Girl, you are amazing. Your whole wedding was just unbelievably gorgeous, and I’m so impressed by all the little touches you put in! You should consider a career change and become an event planner. Seriously, you should.
And want to hear something that will make your Type A brain spazz out and go into a coma? I planned, like, 2 things for my wedding. For realsies. I picked my dress, and I told my mom what colors I wanted, and then just told her to do whatever she wanted for everything else. Ha! I didn’t decide on a hairdo until the morning of, and then just had my sister-in-law do it for me. My mom did EVERYTHING–planned the food, picked invitations, designed the reception . . . everything. Can you tell I’m not really so into planning and big events? But you know, I loved it. I think I’ve changed enough over the years that I’d want more involvement if I were to do it again, but at the time, I really didn’t care a lot and just told my mom to do what she thought would be best–I trust her taste more than my own. Poor mom, I never even asked if she wanted to plan a wedding for me . . . oh well, it was lovely, and I gave her a grandchild, so we’re probably even
Just gorgeous! Looks like it was straight out of a wedding magazine!! Thanks for sharing!! Hope you guys have a great weekend!!

Gorgeous gorgeous details!! I love your bouquets!! You did a wonderful job!
I love that you did a lot of your stuff. When my daughter got married (June 29, 2011) we also did a lot of DIY stuff; from her jewelry, photography, center pieces, bouquet, announcements, thank you cards, and more. It was pretty much all DIY, except for the dress with was the last discontinued dress from David’s Bridal. Funny thing was, it was exactly what she wanted. Our goal was to do their wedding as inexpensively as possible and yet still have a very nice atmosphere; not cheap looking, and I do think we accomplished our goal, much like you accomplished a very nice wedding. Congratulations!
I love your earrings!!! Where are they from?
Great ideas! I think you should make a career out of wedding planning. Pre pinterest I dont think I got caught up in all the small perfect details, sometimes I even think about selling my ring and possible upgrading to a more personalized custom ring like options like these http://www.brilliantearth.com/news/design-wedding-rings-2/. I wish we would have taken the time to design something meaningful to us. We were engaged in the late 90s and just walked into a store like Kays to pick one out, its my ring, but now knowing more about awful blood diamonds I think about that. Id use gemstones the next time around and make sure any diamonds are eco friendly. Good for you for crediting each product, again, kudos for the attention to dets.
